Open Window with JavaScript Link

This page contains examples that illustrates the result of using the JavaScript topic Open New Window with a JavaScript Link in PageSpinner's HTML Assistant.

The link below is set to open the file called help1.html in a separate window when the user clicks the link.

Show Help 1

The next link is set to open the file called help2.html in the same separate window when the user clicks the link. If the window already has been opened, and you are using version 3.x or later of one of the major browsers, the separate window will be brought to front.

Show Help 2

The link below is set to open the file called help2.html in another separate window (called remoteWin2) when the user clicks the link.

It will also load a new page inside this window. You specify the file name to be loaded in this window in the optional field for the second file name in Step 4: Insert Link Tag in the Assistant.

This may be useful if you want to achieve automatic loading of new contents in the second window every time the contents of this window is changed using a JavaScript link (or button).
